12 Bargain Bin Buys For Your Fantasy Football Auction Draft

12 Guys In The Fantasy Football Auction Bargain Bin

Fantasy Football AuctionNo matter how your fantasy football auction goes, you will get to the point where the bank account is getting thin.  Every year there are players who don’t pull down big money that produce fantasy points like they cost you a small fortune.  This year there will be those bargains that can help you win your league, and there will even be WW adds that help win your league.  Tim Hightower last year helped me clinch the ECL title and there is inevitably someone out there who we are not talking about that will do that once again this season.

QUARTERBACKS:

Cam, A-Rod, Wilson and Luck are going to run you $20 and higher.  Remember last year?  Luck was the most expensive QB on  the board…how did that work out?  In case you forgot, he played in 7 games and finished 27th, throwing 12 picks!  Needless to say, there were numerous QBs you paid less for that produced more.  This year, here are a few QB’s you can target for under $10, that you can start every week.  You all know of streaming QBs by now, but that does take extra time to beat the WW or it can also tie up extra spots on your bench.  Here are some targets for the 2016-17 season:

Eli Manning, NYG: Current Rank 9th, AAV $7.

Last year Eli finished 7th and averaged 23 FP/game.  Eli has Odell, Shepard and even Cruz this year. They will be operating in  Ben McAdoo’s offense for a third year which means it should be more polished and effective.  Eli is 3rd only to Brady and Rodgers in the last 2 years in TD passes.

Tyrod Taylor, BUF: Current Rank 10th, AAV $5.fantasy football auction

Last year TT finished as the 18th ranked QB.  Part of that was the fact he played 14 games.  He did average 22.3 FP/game and had he played 16, he would have finished as high as 12th (just ahead of Aaron Rodgers).  Tyrod has the ability to add points with his legs which is even more valuable if you are in a league that awards points/carry.

Kirk Cousins, WAS: Current Rank 13th, AAV $4.

Kirk finished 9th last year averaging 22.4 FP/game.  The Skins added Josh Doctson to their attack.  The running game is a question mark as Jones has fumbling issues and it only leaves a rookie behind him (Marshall).  Kirk should be able to improve upon last year’s numbers and at $4, you just saved a lot of money to spend elsewhere.

RUNNING BACKS:

Rashaad Jennings, NYG: Current Rank 34th, AAV $8.

Last year Jennings only finished as the 22nd ranked RB, but it wasn’t until the last 4 weeks where he started to handle the majority of the RB duties.  In the last 4 weeks, he gained between 102-176 yards (running and catching) and averaged 17.8 FP/game.  This year he will start the year as the feature back.  If you are worried about his injury history, grab Paul Perkins later for a $1 and you will have the feature back in NY for the season.
