Expert Auction Values

When I create auction values I try and represent what is happening in mocks so that you will know what the fair going price is for a player.  I feel that this is a better tool to take into your drafts because then you will know what the average price is for a player and you can easily see players that are going for too much money and players that you are getting value with.  You should then be taking those values and comparing them to how YOU rank each player.  Through my articles and the topics we cover on the podcast I will tell you players that I like and dislike and you can compare that the the average values.  By doing this you will be able to spot undervalued players heading into your draft. – @slim4MVP

MR. BLISTR VALUE PROJECTIONS

MrBlistr projects the values for individual players on draft day.

My ranks and especially my auction values within my ranks, may be way off of the reality of what is happening in current mocks and real drafts.  Thus, I need to have my tiers based on actual trends as this will help me not only determine how many players are available per tier, but also help me build a better, more accurate budget heading into my auction.  @mrblistr

Hello FFA! I have to say I love your podcasts. Since switching our league to AUCTION, its great to have a podcast dedicated to auctions.

Quick question. we're doing a 14-team 1/2pt PPR league this year. First time our auction is this big (12tm previous). If i'm going with a mid-tier QB approach (#4-12 in your rankings), SHOULD I GET A BACKUP QB? I have 7 bench slots, but in such a big league I want to hoard as many sleeper RB/WR as I can. Advice?

Hey guys.  Great stuff in the POD casts.  I have also bought the Draft kit.  I am wondering what some of the best places to do a mock auction draft are.  The places I have seen so far have the max of 14 teams and I am in a 16 team ppr.  Any thoughts?  Thanks!

I'm considering managing an auction draft in person next year.  How/how well does that work?  My wife came up with using monopoly money....

Hey slim. Are the auction values based on a $100 salary cap or $200?

@CoachPappo I say if you go late... like Wilson or Kaep, you will probably run them most of the year anyways. With a short bench, I would just stream a guy on your bye week - but be sure to get in on your waivers a week or two before  you need him so nobody scoops your guy on your!

@BrettWingfield You might be able to do 16 team mocks on myfantasyleague if you set it up yourself.  I've never done ones that big before so that's new to me as well.  14 team mocks should give you a fairly accurate pricture though, although I know it's not exactly ideal.

@fantasyfootballauction @CoachPappo That makes sense. I have a feeling that with 14 teams, there won't be a ton of teams taking 2 qbs. I wasn't sure if you'd advice getting 2, in case your starter bombed out (because waivers will be slim-pickins), but i see your point.

People like Bradford, Locker, McCown could be available and could be serviceable starters in a pinch/or in the least bye-week fill-ns.

Thanks!
