Top 5 Fantasy Football Google Results

@UncleBucketts
We want to be your only Fantasy Football Auction source to help you prepare for your Fantasy Football Auction Draft. Each year I like to head to Google and go “Incognito” and search for “Fantasy Football Auction”. I look at the top 5 hits (besides www.thefantasyfootballauction.com of course) and give you a summary and analysis or ‘verdict’ with regards to the site. I go through each post and tell you what’s in it and what we think about the content. We will do this heavy lifting for you. So here we go – let’s Google “Fantasy Football Auction” and see what we find.

Fantasy Pros (Fantasy Football Auction Values)

https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/auction-values/calculator.php

Summary:

There is a cheat sheet here with all your Fantasy Football Auction Values. These numbers are pretty accurate now at the start of August. The Auction Values are calculated by a formula based on ADP. It’s a good source to get you started.

Verdict:

Formula based Auction Values based on ADP are OK. Our Average Auction Values (AAV) are based on the values from Fantasy Football Auction Mock Drafts and Actual Fantasy Football Auction Drafts … 100s of them. Do you take your pick – values from an ADP/Snake Draft Formula or actual Auction values from Actual Auctions?

Koerner’s 10 Fantasy Football Auction Draft Commandments

https://www.actionnetwork.com/nfl/fantasy-football-auction-draft-strategy-values-sean-koerner

Summary:

Koerner has some great ideas here. Compare your AAVs to that of the site you are working on. Great tip! Many of the guys you are drafting with will look at the AAV’s on ESPN or Yahoo! Or whichever site you are drafting on and take those as gospel truths. Being in on most nominations is a good idea too. This allows you to have a chance at anyone and it also doesn’t allow your league-mates to gauge where/how you are drafting this year. Nominations matter! Absolutely! We state this all the time. We talk about it on our podcast and write articles for our Members on it each year.

Being willing to overbid is also some great advice. Sometimes (and I am terrible for it) we get caught up on the numbers on our cheat sheet and we are afraid to go over the numbers on our sheet. Don’t be afraid. Get your guy!

“Draft guys close to their positional tier” – well first of all… duh! Of course, you want the top guys in a tier. The key here is to look at where you nominate guys in the tier and how they fall into the Auction U (new version of this article coming soon). These are the keys to winning your Fantasy Fantasy Auction Draft. It’s easy to say, “Draft guys at the top”, but how do you get those guys? Use your nominations, especially in the middle rounds, and the Auction U to get your guy.]

Verdict:

Koerner does a good job breaking down some strategies for your Fantasy Football Draft and it is worth reading. It needs to go deeper. We will get you deeper and more prepared.

Fantasy Football Mock Draft: Late July auction results reveal how we …

https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/fantasy-football-mock-draft-late-july-auction-results-reveal-running-backs-still-earn-big-money-bids/

Summary:

This post gives you a quick rundown on the basics of a Fantasy Football Auction. Most of the article is a list of results from a mock draft, therefore no analysis or strategy. It is interesting to note that the values are based on a $100 budget. Actual mock results are good to look at. Looking through rosters and different team makeups are valuable too.

Verdict:

Although there is always some interesting information when reviewing the results of a mock draft. These are just numbers from one mock draft in late July and that is not enough. Our site offers Fantasy Football Auction Values and AAVs and Value Indicators all summer long from 100s of mocks and actual drafts. Looking for a free membership? Send us your mock/actual results to auctionmockdrafts@gmail.com (we draw a new name each week on the podcast)

New to fantasy football auctions? We’re here to help. | SI.com

https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/07/11/fantasy-football-auction-strategies

Summary:

The first section is on “Find or Make a Value Chart”. Niles doesn’t’ provide you with one, instead, Niles says to ‘look at last year’s results for RB1” – while that will work for the top tier guys, how do you put a value on mid-tier guys or rookies? He does refer you to 4for4.com (a site we love because John Paulson is an unreal ranker!) Next up Niles discusses creating tiers and this is an important thing to do when prepping for your draft. We love tiers and promote them all the time, so much so that Members receive Blistr and Slim’s actual tier spreadsheets they bring into their actual drafts. Niles brings through his process for assigning budget percentages (it’s pretty good). Next comes some auction draft advice; “Be Patient”, and don’t be surprised if you see huge money go off at the beginning of your draft.

If you come to our site, you know this, you are an auction guy. “Counter Strategy”, nominate high-value guys you don’t want first to get money off the table and those guys off your sheet. This is pretty standard move in 2019. This is not a counter-strategy anymore, its the way most guys nominate in the first few rounds.

Verdict:

Clearly, Niles provides some good basic advice, especially for beginners. Nonetheless, you aren’t a beginner, you are on the internet’s only All Fantasy Football Auction website. In other words, you want more, in addition to simple advice, you are looking for strategies on nominations in addition to budgets and roster constructions. Above all else, you want more then Niles provides. We got more!

2019 Fantasy Football Auction Values – Football Absurdity

footballabsurdity.com/2019-fantasy-football-auction-values/

Summary:

Clearly, this post is just a list of Fantasy Football Auction Values contrary to our site which as podcasts as well as articles and different spreadsheet. No telling where the source is. “He” created them. “He” doesn’t reveal his name nor how he created them, only his values take into account oversights such as “too many low-end players” and “they miss the glut of money that comes out of the pot for the high-end players, leaving values in the middle”

Verdict:

“His” values are fairly accurate and despite having no idea where the source is, they are worth a quick look and review. There are some differences (remember each league/draft is going to see a variance in auction values), we have Mahomes at $26 and “He” has him at $17, we have Kerryon at $27 and “He” has him all the way up at $41 (as of July 19th?). So, use these as a guide as we say for all sources. Create your tiers and read our articles, listen to our podcasts and crush your draft.

There you have it, the top 5 Google results for “Fantasy Football Auction” (not including our site). I broke down each site and gave you a summary and analysis or verdict on what to look for within the article or post. No need to go any further for your auction information. We are the first and only real source for Fantasy Football Auction advice, auction values and podcasts!
